A language school site where levels are written as what a person will be able to do, not as letters and numbers.
What it is
A language school does not sell lessons, it sells a future ability, and everything depends on how that ability is named. A level code means nothing to the person paying. “You will be able to talk to your landlord on the phone” means everything: the information is the same, but only one of the two sells the course.
That is where the main element comes from — a staircase of levels where each step is labelled with a thing you can do, so you can see where half a year takes you. Then come the timetable, the group format and the questions everybody always asks: how many people in a group, what happens if you miss a class, is there a trial lesson.
Specifications: Next.js and CSS Modules, a static page inside this site. The questions block opens using the browser’s own markup, without a single line of script: it works even where scripts are disabled, and a screen reader reads it properly. The background is three ribbons weaving, computed on the graphics card.
