Llave — sample site for an estate agency
An estate agency site where every flat states in its own listing what is wrong with it.

What it is
A property listing is one of the rare genres where everybody knows the text lies by omission. The flaw exists, the buyer will find it anyway — but they will find it at the viewing, having spent a Saturday. Here the flaw is named in the listing itself: the damp, the bus route under the window, the fourth floor with no lift.
The practical point is filtering. A stated flaw removes from the queue the people for whom it is a deal-breaker and keeps the ones for whom it is not: the agency loses empty viewings and the buyer stops losing weekends. Next to the price sits the price per square metre, because that is the only number that lets you compare listings at all. The floor plans are not photographed but drawn from the property data, so they read alike and scale alike.
Specifications: Next.js, CSS Modules, vector graphics; a static page inside this site. Behind the listings a district turns slowly, as if built out of white cardboard: a real 3D scene where the heights, the streets and the shadows are computed every frame. It is deliberately pale — black text runs over it, and that text has to stay readable.
