Verstak — finding businesses without a website, anywhere
The workbench under the outreach agent: it walks the world map for free, finds businesses with no website, scores them from 0 to 100 and writes each a letter in its own language.
What it is
To offer websites you first have to find the people who do not have one — and that means going through tens of thousands of map entries. The job is mechanical: walk the objects of a district, check whether each has a site, and if not, judge how much it needs one.
Two decisions make it possible. First, the data comes from OpenStreetMap: paid mapping services charge per request, and walking one city is thousands of requests, so the bill arrives before the first reply. Second, the letters are written by a local model: a hundred letters through a paid service costs about the same as the walk. A score from zero to a hundred says how much a business needs a site, and the list is sorted by it.
Specifications: an Electron desktop build and a web build from one source tree, OpenStreetMap data, local models. Shelved on 10 Aug 2026; the web version was closed on 12 Aug 2026 and is no longer a public link. No screenshots: the screens hold other companies’ contact details.
